Reduce the IDP’s suffering from natural disasters and man-made incidents in IDP camps

SECD has formed voluntary #Emergency Intervention Teams in 76 IDP sites located in northwest #Syria as part of its #CCCM and SNFI projects to reduce the IDP’s suffering from natural disasters and man-made incidents in IDP camps. The voluntary teams will support the IDPs by saving lives, reducing risk and suffering from man-made and natural disaster incidents that occur frequently these days. These teams will be able to rapidly intervene in time in case of mentioned incident’s types through trainings, awareness and tools they received from SECD.
Currently, SECD is providing vocational training with respective tools to these volunteers to make them capable to conduct basic WASH and electricity maintenance in IDP sites.
The teams will be able to conduct maintenance, assess and report needs on a monthly basis. All IDPs were able to select the speciality they need prior to conducting the vocational training.
SECD has prioritized persons with disability and women to be part of these teams and receive capacity building and vocational training.
