As part of its support for the water sector to ensure access to safe drinking water in northern Syria, the Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development (SECD) has replaced a 100-horsepower submersible pump in the well of Al-Hammameh – Kafr Dabeen village, located in the Jisr al-Shughur countryside of Idlib.
The new pump is designed to withstand temperatures above 65°C. The well operates on solar power and supplies water to homes through the water network after being treated with chlorine. The number of beneficiaries, including both village residents and internally displaced people, reaches 14,644 individuals.
