As part of its efforts to support IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) in camps across northwest Syria, the Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development (SECD) has formed rapid response volunteer teams in 76 targeted camps to help reduce the impact of fires and natural disasters. The mission of these teams is to intervene quickly and assist affected individuals through professional training, awareness activities, and the equipment they receive during the project period.

These volunteers are currently undergoing professional training to enhance their capabilities. This training enables them to carry out minor repairs to sanitation and electricity services, assess needs, and prepare monthly reports for each camp to be shared with the humanitarian community. As part of the project, volunteers are also being provided with the tools required to perform the selected repair work.

Volunteers were selected based on their willingness to engage in camp-based volunteer work, with priority given to individuals with disabilities and women.
