Recognizing the importance of water in the lives of residents, the Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development Organization held a training course titled “Rehabilitation of Pumping Stations and Water Networks.”

The course took place in the city of Termanin from March 20 to 23, 2017. Nineteen trainees attended the course.

The course covered the following topics:

  1. Water Sources:
    Wells and their utilization, drilling methods, water tanks and their components, civil works for network utilization, and water consumption rationalization.
  2. Mechanical and Electrical Works:
    Practical examples of pump capacity calculations and related electrical equipment.
  3. Chemical Analysis:
    This section includes how to analyze water and methods used for disinfecting drinking water.
  4. Network Calculation:
    Introduction to EPA software and methods of its use, along with explanations of water purification plant design.
  5. Billing:
    Introduction to the importance of billing, methods for calculating operational costs, and external factors affecting billing.

The management of the Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development Organization extends sincere thanks to all who contributed to the success of this training.
