Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development (SECD) implementing a shelter project, within Baksariya and Al-Hanbushiyeh in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughour, to support the displaced and vulnerable families in the host communities by rehabilitating their damaged homes, from 01/07/2020 to 02/28/2021. aimed to meet the shelter needs of 400 families, the total number of BNFs will reach 2000 people, including (1397 displaced persons, 439 hosts, 164 returnees).
Rehabilitation works started at the beginning of October 2020, on the approved houses in terms of matching the selection criteria and passing the engineering technical evaluation of the houses, the number of houses approved so far has reached 250 houses in both villages, work is still continuing on the evaluation of the remaining houses within the project locations to ensure achieve greater benefit from the project.
Rehabilitation activities include, but are not limited to Installation and maintenance of doors and windows, interior and exterior plaster, installation of water tanks, plumbing, and electrical installations, and providing houses with a solar energy package that will be used in lighting.
