Improving the hygiene sector is a top priority for the Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development. As the humanitarian crisis intensifies inside Syria—leading to increased poverty rates, a growing number of displaced persons, and the spread of diseases and epidemics due to the neglect of both personal and public hygiene—the organization’s team, as part of the Emergency Response Project for newly displaced persons and host families in northern Syria, distributed hygiene kits to displaced families from the Idlib and southern Aleppo countryside, as well as to those displaced from Eastern Ghouta in the city of Darat Izza.
