Fatoum Al-Shawakh… A Story of Resilience and Hope
Fatoum, a strong mother and widow, takes care of five children, three of whom are visually impaired. After the February 2023 earthquake, her home was severely damaged, making daily life full of challenges and dangers for her children.
Thanks to the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and the implementation by the Syrian Engineers Organization for Reconstruction and Development, her home was fully rehabilitated and equipped with a safe bathroom, restoring comfort and safety to the family and giving her children the ease of movement safely inside their house.
Fatoum expressed her deep gratitude, saying that safety has returned to her family, and her children now live in a more stable and comfortable house.
This support was not just about fixing walls… it was bringing back hope and a fresh start for a family that deserves a better life.
