Syrian Engineers for Construction and Development (SECD) continues implementing the project supporting displaced persons and vulnerable families in host communities by rehabilitating their damaged homes in the villages of Baksriya, Hanboushiya, and Armla in rural Jisr al-Shughur, from 01/07/2020 to 28/02/2021. This project aims to meet the shelter needs of 400 families, benefiting approximately 2,082 individuals, including 1,158 displaced persons, 799 hosts, and 125 returnees.
Rehabilitation work has been completed on some houses in Baksriya and Hanboushiya villages and handed over properly. Work is ongoing to complete the remaining targeted houses.
Rehabilitation activities include but are not limited to: installation and maintenance of doors and windows, internal and external plastering, installation of water tanks, sanitary and electrical extensions, and equipping homes with solar energy systems for lighting.
SECD commits to COVID-19 prevention procedures during all its activities. Additionally, the organization receives complaints through complaint boxes installed in the targeted villages, processes them, and responds to submitters.
