Basel lived with his family, his elderly mother, and his ill brother in a small house consisting of only one room. Due to the lack of space, the family was forced to use the kitchen as a sleeping room. The house lacked the most basic elements that are necessary for safe shelter, it had no windows or doors and was severely damaged by the earthquake, and really making daily life so hard, and increased the bad situation of their physical and psychological conditions in addition to the extreme poverty and harsh living circumstances.
Today, their life has completely changed. Thanks to the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), and SECD who implemented the project, the house was fully rehabilitated and equipped to provide a safe and dignified shelter and good living environment, restoring a sense of security and stability to the family.
With heartfelt gratitude, Basel expressed his deep appreciation for this humanitarian support, affirming that safety has returned to his family and that they now live in a home that offers comfort and peace of mind.
