The Syrian Engineers for Reconstruction and Development Organization (SECD) is implementing a project within the city of Dana to support water, sanitation, hygiene, and solid waste management, from 01/07/2020 until 31/03/2021, benefiting approximately 166,592 people including displaced persons and residents.
The project aims to support water and sanitation systems and solid waste management to ensure service delivery to the city’s residents, both displaced and host communities.
Currently, work is underway to rehabilitate the sewage network and to rehabilitate and construct manholes and storm drains along the existing network. Workshops have begun excavation operations following a topographic survey of the city, starting from the Dana Agricultural Road up to Deir Hassan Road. In addition, storm drains on Al-Farouk Street have been completed, with work continuing at other locations within Dana’s streets.
